Hannah Horton

Hannah co-founded Kingsclere Performing Arts College in 2017 and established its partnership with Newbury College in 2018. Hannah has also been on the Dance Faculty at Wellington College since 2016 and founded Kingsclere Performing Arts and Youth Centre CIC in 2021.
Hannah’s teaching and leadership experience at Drama UK recognised Pendleton School of Performing Arts in Salford from 2006 was excellent preparation for founding a college. She was appointed Head of Dance at Pendleton in 2012, a beacon Award winning college, where she delivered Level 3 qualifications in Dance and Musical Theatre.
Previously Hannah gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance from the University of Bedfordshire and completed her PGCE though Greenwich University. After graduation, Hannah embarked on a professional dance career which has taken her around the world, including Europe, USA, and South Korea. She has danced for international corporations including Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World, Costa Cruises, Princess and P&O. After Hannah moved to Manchester she continued to dance professionally, gradually moving into choreography and teaching. Freelance projects include a commission by the Arts Council of England choreographing for “Big Dance”. Specialising in Tap Dance, Hannah has trained in Sweden with US Tap Masters Jason Samuels Smith, Dormeshia Sumbry- Edwards and Chloe Arnold amongst many others. Hannah has choreographed numerous Musical Theatre and Dance productions for colleges and produced the largest ever student flash mob at the Trafford Centre with over 400 dancers. She has been instrumental in helping many young performers secure places in professional training institutions. Hannah’s former students are currently working in the West End, television, film, and professional dance companies around the world.
